Terms and Conditions for Joca's Getaways

1. Introduction

Welcome to Joca's Getaways. By booking accommodation through our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

2. Definitions

  • "Company" refers to Joca's Getaways.
     
  • "Guest" refers to the individual making the booking and all members of their party.
     
  • "Property" refers to the accommodation rented through Joca's Getaways.
     

3. Booking and Payment

  • Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only after receipt of the required deposit and our written confirmation.
     
  • Deposit: A deposit of 25% of the total rental amount is required at the time of booking.
     
  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 1 week before the arrival date. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
     

4. Cancellation Policy

  • Guest Cancellation:
     
    • More than 30 days before arrival: 100% refund of the total deposit
       
    • Less than 15 days before arrival: No refund.
       
  • Company Cancellation: In the unlikely event that we must cancel your booking, we will provide a full refund of all monies paid. Our liability will not extend beyond this refund.
     

5. Security Deposit

A security deposit of 300 EUR is required to cover any damages or additional cleaning. This deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure, less any deductions for damages or extra charges.

6. Use of Property

  • Occupancy: The number of guests must not exceed the maximum occupancy stated for the property.
     
  • Conduct: Guests are expected to respect the property and its contents. Any damage or breakages must be reported immediately.
     
  • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property.
     
  • Pets: Pets are not allowed unless explicitly stated in the property listing.
     

7. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in: From 16:00 on the arrival date.
     
  • Check-out: By 10:00 on the departure date. Late check-out may result in additional charges.
     

8. Liability

Joca's Getaways is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur during your stay, nor for the loss of personal belongings or valuables. Guests are advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance. 

9. Complaints and Maintenance

Any issues or complaints should be reported to us immediately to allow us the opportunity to address them promptly.

10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts. 

11. Amendments

Joca's Getaways reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website.
